Dubai : The eagerly awaited Konkani CD 'Hero - only yours' by Dony Correa was released along with the musical extravaganza titled : 'UNPLUGED' in a glittering ceremony Friday the 10th April 2015 at the Emirates Theatre Dubai.
Veteran konkani writer Mr. Antony Mendonsa released the CD and was blessed by Rev. Fr. Lawrence D’Souza.
Attended by a large number of konkani music and drama lovers, it is a debut Konkani musical album ‘Hero – Only Yours’ and a 2-in-1 entertainment which included a two hour musical program by Dony Correa, Asha Corea, Joshal Sweedal D’Souza and Prajoth D’sa who is popularly known as Sonu Nigam of Mangalore kept the audience spell bound during the 'UNPLUGED'.
Cha Fra D’Costa’s award-winning drama 'Vishentiche Bhav', a short, one scene drama also performed by veteran award-winning artistes received a hug round of applause.
Popular Konkani singer Prajoth D’Souza along with Sweedal Joshal D’souza and the hosts Dony Correa and Asha Correa provide the total entertainment with a few memorable konkani, Kannnada and Hindi songs and kept the audieance enthralled.
Veteran actor Vincy Lobo who was awarded the best actor for the same drama last year along with Cynthia Pinto who was awarded best actor (female) for the same role and supported by well -known drama actors namely Dony Correa, Dinesh Correa, Veena D’sa, Robert Mendonca and Anil Lobo left the lasting impression by their spell bound acting skills.
The well-known musician Kethan D’Souza provided the background score for the drama. 'Broadway' a leading sound system provider in the U.A.E. provided fool proof sounds and videography for the grand musical program.
All the singers, artists and media persons were honoured at intervals in appreciation for their total support for “Hero” only yours and for the drama. Asha Correa proposed the vote of thanks.
